Dharma River: Journey of a Thousand Buddhas
Dharma River and Prajna Earth are the first two films in The Yatra Trilogy from director John Bush. The series explores the great cultural and religious treasures of SE Asia, journeying to ancient temples, mystical landscapes and wondrous shrines -- many of them UNESCO world heritage sites. Dharma River, the first film in the series, was shot entirely on location in Thailand, Laos, and Burma. Coursing over the canals of Bangkok, the film first travels to the revered Emerald Buddha, and then heads north, to the gilded temples and hill tribes of Chiang Mai.
